CCI was founded by retired law enforcement officers and serves the Tallahassee and Big Bend area of Florida. 

Rick Kolodgy is the co-founder of Capital City Investigations, Inc.  Mr. Kolodgy retired from the Miami- Dade Police Department at the rank of Sergeant in 2005, after, 31 years of service. During his tenure with the Miami-Dade Police Department, Rick worked in a variety of investigative positions including, Homicide, General Investigations, Internal Affairs and Central District Drug Task Force.

While assigned to the various investigative units, Mr. Kolodgy spent thousands of hours conducting surveillances and investigating major crimes. In addition to his experience conducting investigations, Mr. Kolodgy was responsible for training and supervising other investigators.

Mr. Kolodgy is also well versed in the area of worker's compensation law. He held the position of Vice Chairman of the Florida Worker's Compensation Oversight Board and has assisted numerous individuals attempting to navigate the worker's compensation system, both from the claimant's prospective and the employer's prospective. While employed with the Miami-Dade Police Department, Mr. Kolodgy was responsible for investigating workers compensation abuses and fraud.
